Apart from our flagship initiative, The Africa CEO Roundtable & Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility (AR-CSR™), we believe it is expedient to sustain the momentum that CSR is fast gaining across the world especially in Africa where the theory and practice of CSR is only emerging.

The journal is our platform to conduct this, drive and challenge the conversation on issues of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility, Social Investments, as well as engage business enterprises on policies and global trends on creating stronger businesses and viable economies.

Launched in June 2011 the AR-CSR™ by Mary Robinson (Former Female President of Ireland and Former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights); this publication features the various aspects and sides to sustainability, business ethics and CSR – covering different sectors of our economy across the different regions with emphasis on marked development as well as exposing our economy for direct foreign investment. These inform our pay-off, ‘…an open, unending conversation’.

WEEKLY PAGE

By popular demand, ThistlePraxis Consulting commenced the production of a weekly page on CSR, CSR Files™ Weekly. In association with The Guardian Newspapers; the assessments and strategy firm will publish news, activities and other relevant content to enhance the practice of professionals on Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility issues in Nigeria and beyond commencing from February 1, 2012.

A sneak preview of the page reveals that there are indeed interesting and relevant content for every business leader. Sub-columns such as PRACTICE UPDATE, which highlights emerging developments in the industry; QUOTED, quotable quotes from leaders of thought; 10THINGS, the frontline section for analysis on Sustainable Development and REMINDER, a follow up section on very topical and somewhat controversial issues; make this page worth reading.
